The Invisible Man

It's quite easy to become the invisible man. All you have to do is nothing or not enough. The invisible man walks around without being seen or heard from anyone. It's a rather easy life to live, but a very hard one to enjoy. These kinds of people are alone and trapped.

As Christians we're called to be bold, proclaim the Gospel among all nations, and make disciples. It's going to be kind of hard to do that if we're obscure from the rest of the world behind the cloak of our comfort zones. Submitting to the fear of reaching out to people who need to know Jesus because of the possibility of falling short of society's standards of evangelism. Hoping that our love for Jesus radiates throughout a given space so uncomfortable confrontation isn't necessary. Blending too far into the world instead of resembling and reflecting Jesus for the world to see and know. That is the power of invisibility.

If that does not describe you I'm thrilled. Go and be bold for Christ by making Him known through you. Although the invisible man complex is defined by other means of transparency. The invisible man tends to hide their feelings and closed off internally and spiritually. The invisible man can be a Christian but not open to trust Jesus for control of their feelings by confessing them or not susceptible to spiritual guidance and wisdom. All of these goes right through the invisible man. Eventually their family and friends go right through them, their career, and their joy.

Allow God and His people to stick to you. Learn to discern His Word and trust in it. Be like Jesus. Be known for what Christ has done for you and what you've done for Him. Stand out and set the example for invisible men and women who don't know how they should live and find joy. You'll be illuminated and your fruit will be good. Jesus was not invisible because he wanted to be seen and heard like you. Cast the cloak you've felt secure under and allow God to cover you with His love and promises. 

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:13-16)
